Varspe
Var-Spe focuses on innovation in every single step it takes, which is why it completes the outstanding performance of its variators, pumps and motors with a huge range of controls and devices.
It is supplied on request instead of the normal hand wheel and permits to specify on a graduated scale the control position corresponding to a certain speed. It has a graduated dial with two pointers, as a watch, the small pointer indicates the number of revolutions of the handwhikal while the big pointer indicales the fractions of displacement of the same handwheel.
It permits controlling output shaft variable speed ofthe variator according to the resistance torque. Speed is automalically decreased according to the increasing diameter of the reel and corresponding peripheral speed. This permits winding at a controlled tension with a 1 +3 ratio of te nominal torque of required power. In order to get lower or higher values, it is necessary to make manual regulation with handwheel or lever. When placing orders please state direction of rotation of output shaft.
It is supplied on request and stops motion between motor- variator and driven machine when the variator shaft undergoes a resistant torque higher than the torque for which the valve is rated with the aim of preventing possible damages resulting from accidental stops of the machine. After the trouble has been remaved, this device automatically allows the variator to transmit motion again.
A generator contained inside the variable speed unit generates a small alternating current which voltage is proportional o R.P.M. The generator consists of a stator and polar wheel; in size 15, 16, 16B, 17, 1 7B units the generator extends its length by dimension V8. In size 11, 12, 13, 14 the stator is fitted on the left side – seen from outout shaft while for the other sizes, generator can be rotated in the positions of fixing bores to the housing. The generator is con- nected to an analogic gauge, to be installed at a distance, through a coaxial bipolar conductor. The meter is usually supplied with scale graduated from 0 to 1500 R.P.M. Meter with scale graduated in m/min, cm etc, can be supplied on request. A digital remote speed indicator with proximity is available at addi- tional cost.
This device /supplied on request with the remote electro control code 20, the electro-hydrautic code 67 and 68), is made in three versions
- WITH TWO MICROSWITCHES: it permits to limit the RPM adiustment for both directions of rotation of the variator. Used for just one direction of rotation, it permils lhe zeroing of the variator,
- WITH THREE MICROSWITCHES: device like the above, it permits the zeroing of the variator on both directions of rotation. WITH
- FOUR OR SIX MICROSWITCHES: device like the above, it permits presetting of our output speeds: two speeds in one direction of rotation and two in the opposite direction, or four Speeds in just one direction of rotation.
This option gives flexibility in three areas First is allows the VAR- SPE to accept input speed below 900 RPM. Secondly, it allows for reversal of the input shaft rotation to get bi-directional performance out of unidirectional contrals code 52. 59 and 3 and than doubling the number of preset speeds for listed controls and options. The external pump is also supplied with a smal driving motor.
The by-pass valve is connected to both sides of the hydrostatic closed loop. When opened it allows flow from one side to the other by passing the hydraulic motor. It is intended for applications requiring the VAR SPE output shaft to free wheel when shut off. It can also be used when a brake is apoled to the output shaft.
Through the by-pass valve, only a certain oil quantity can flow. Therefore output shaft stopping can be obtained wilth variator adjusted at the min, speed (150-200 RPM).
This option allows bi-directonal rotation of input shaft of variator and reversal of motion of ourout shaft with uni-directional controls codes 52. 53 and 3. The other regulaton controls and devices – with preset speeds for one sense of rotation – give the same speeds for opposite direction by reversing input rotation.
This device allows to switch off the power supply to the oil preheater code P when the variator oil reaches the pre- established temperature. It can also be used as detector of oil extreme temperature to operate an alarm system.
This device consists of 1 or 2 immersion heaters code P to the oil in extremely cold environments. They are rated for 220 V – 50Hz or other voltages.
It allows the cooling of the oil when the variator is mounted in high ambient temperature ambient (+40°C, + 104°F) or with particularly heavy duties. It consists of an electro-ventilated heat exchanger and a valve coupled to variator for recycling the excessive oil of the auxiliary pump. Alternatively, it is possible to supply the valve together with an oll-water heat exchanger.
